MOKUM COMMUNICATIONS JOINS FORCES
WITH WHITE TIGER PR
WITH GOAL TO BUILD SPECIALIST AGENCY NETWORK
Mokum Communications Ltd – the company founded by Mark Smith and Tracey Spuyman – has made its first acquisition as it looks to build a specialist PR and Communications agency network. Smith and Spuyman who met at Chime Communications many years ago when Smith was CFO and COO and Spuyman was Founder and Managing Director of Teamspirit – have spent considerable time reviewing the market to identify suitable agency partners. White Tiger PR is the first of what will become a collaborative agency group that offers specialist expertise and delivers creative, integrated insight to different business sectors.
White Tiger PR was set up by Cass Helstrip in 2010 specialising in lifestyle, leisure and travel PR. Creative and driven for the past decade, White Tiger PR offers authentic senior level strategic advice and tactical nous delivering a common sense approach that fits perfectly with Mokum’s philosophy. White Tiger’s campaigns blend social, digital, broadcast and print media to optimise results for its clients who include Omio, Pitchup.com, SpaBreaks and Anguilla.
Commenting on this recent development, Spuyman says:
“Mark and I have long shared a vision of an agency network built around specialists in different sectors and we have taken our time to find the right fit for our inaugural acquisition. Even in the current economic environment, there will be huge opportunities for those communications advisers best equipped to provide authoritative, creative and nimble strategic advice; helping clients to manage the current situation and act appropriately as markets return. We are excited at the strength of the team we have created and look forward to helping a successful business such as White Tiger PR develop and flourish.”
Smith adds:
“Having worked in and around agencies for over 30 years, I have always wanted to hold a significant personal interest in an agency venture and this opportunity to do so, while working alongside someone as positive and experienced as Tracey, proved irresistible. Our combined complementary skills will help us make the right decisions in a challenging environment
and bring something new to the sector. We see an opportunity to do something different
and are excited to make it happen.”
Commenting on White Tiger PR becoming the first of what is expected to be a series of agency acquisitions, Helstrip adds:
“White Tiger has grown significantly over the last ten years while working with a portfolio of interesting and valued clients. We have evolved as a natural home for senior PR directors from top tier agencies looking for a flexible working life while retaining the motivation found in a fast-paced strategic PR consultancy. I am excited about taking the next step in elevating the reach of the White Tiger philosophy and working to expand the business alongside like-minded, experienced professionals. We have invested time over the last six months to build an exceptional relationship with the senior executives Mokum Communications brings to White Tiger and I look forward to introducing the combined team to all current and future Tiger clients.”
